About The Area
Pierson Plaza will be a hub of activity for the City of Desert Hot Springs. Just across the street from the Plaza is Desert Hot Springs High School, home of the Golden Eagles, bustling with hundreds of students, faculty and staff. The immediate neighborhoods have over one thousand homes within walking distance.
The City has plans to create a Civic Center directly adjacent to the High School and directly across the street from the Plaza. The Civic Center will bring thousands of visitors to the City and the neighborhood.
Desert Hot Springs is famous for its namesake, hot springs. But it also has some of the most incredible views of the Coachella Valley and it is one of the fastest growing communities in the Coachella Valley having grown from approximately 14,000 people to 25,000 in less than ten years. Further, it is expected to double in population by 2015. Presently, there are more than ten thousand homesites in some stage of approval for development or being developed.
